Please note our estimates are based largely on the opinion of the cataloguer and take into account any reserves at that time. As they are often prepared well in advance of the sale on few occasions they may be subject to change.
Regarding bids lodged via internet auction sites, to clarify a point – we would like to advise clients that prior to the sale the auctioneers have no knowledge of the internet bids. Whilst we do know who has registered for active bidding, we do not know on which lots bids have been entered. A member of our staff acts on behalf of the internet bidder at the sale; the auctioneer does not have this information on the rostrum.
