wish all their subscribers

and vendors a

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Every year our January auction is smaller in the number of lots therefore it has been decided that as from 2018 our first auction of the year will be in February. The reason for this trend is possibly because leading up to the closing date for the January auction people are thinking of the festive season. Subscribers will still receive 9 auction catalogues with their annual subscription. We are still the only UK militaria and arms auctioneers to hold now 8 regular auctions a year plus our two Connoisseur Collectors’ sales in the Spring and Autumn. Our 600th  sale will coincide with the Autumn Connoisseur Collectors’ auction therefore Details for our next auction are as follows:

Sale Days:

On Tuesday 13th February  we have the Arms and Militaria Auction. The sale will commence at 11am.

On Wednesday 14th February we have the Toy and Model Auction, commencing at 10.30am

Viewing times:

Thursday 8th February for Arms and Militaria, Friday 9th February for both and Monday 12th February from 9am to 5pm (closed 1 – 2pm) and mornings of the sale as follows: Tuesday 13th February, from 9.00am to 10.30am and Wednesday 14th from 9.00am to 10.00am.

The closing date for entries to these auctions is  Friday 12th January

Catalogues for our upcoming auction can be viewed by following the links below (approximately 10 days prior to the sales):

When viewing the auction on these sites it will be noted that we now include estimates on all lots. Please note, these are based largely on the opinion of the cataloguer and take into account any reserves at that time. As they are often prepared well in advance of the sale on few occasions they may be subject to change.

Regarding bids lodged via internet auction sites, to clarify a point –  we would like to advise clients that prior to the sale the auctioneers have no  knowledge of the internet bids. Whilst we do know who has registered for active bidding, we do not know on which lots bids have been entered. A member of our  staff acts on behalf of the internet bidder at the sale; the auctioneer does not have this information on the rostrum.
