A basket hilted Mortuary' broadsword c. 1650-60, broad double edge blade 82cms cut with a pair of short narrow fullers and a single broad fuller deeply stamped ANDREA FERARA together with running wolf of Passau and the mark of an orb, the latter formerly inlaid with latten of which a little remains, iron basket guard embossed and chased with a row of 3 heads on each side together with 2 'Green Man' masks, triple bar guard to each side of hilt (1 bar missing) screwed to foliate chiselled pommel, spiral carved wooden grip an excellent replacement.
